The Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip for Nintendo Switch 2 acts as both a traditional controller grip and a charging dock for the Joy-Con 2 controllers.
It includes a USB-C cable so that when plugged in, the Joy-Con 2 units charge while you’re playing. It doesn’t have its own internal battery — charging only occurs when connected to power.
It also introduces two back remappable buttons labeled GL and GR, similar in concept to back buttons on the Pro Controller.
GL / GR buttons are mappable to functions, giving extra flexibility.
As a grip, it functions like a traditional gamepad when you snap your Joy-Con 2 units into it.
