The Nintendo Switch 2 Camera is a compact, detachable USB-C camera that plugs into the top USB-C port of the Switch 2. It features a wide-angle adjustable lens and a high-sensitivity image sensor that automatically adjusts brightness for clear face detection. It also includes a privacy shutter so you can cover the lens when the camera is not in use.
When connected, the camera enables GameChat—video chatting with friends during gameplay—and CameraPlay, which lets your image appear in compatible games or be used for motion controls. It works in TV mode, tabletop mode, and handheld mode.
